How To Install Samsung Stock Firmware with Odin

Step 1: Make a BACKUP of your data (Recommended)
Step 2: Download right firmware file for your Samsung device and move it your Windows PC. Then extract the firmware zip file in any folder. The extract files must be in “.tar” or “.tar.md5” format.
Step 3: Now download and extract the latest Odin Flash tool in your PC.
Step 4: Then open the folder where you extracted Odin tool and run Odin.exe file
Step 5: Download and install latest Samsung USB drivers in your PC
Step 6: Now go to your Samsung device and enable USB Debugging by going to “Settings > Developer Options > allow USB Debugging”
Step 7: Then enter your device into Download Mode by pressing and holding “Volume Down + Home + Power” buttons for older Samsung devices and “Volume Down + Bixby + Power” buttons for newer Samsung devices.
Step 8: After entering your device to Download mode connect it with your PC by using USB cable. You will see your device connected in Odin.
Step 9: Once you made sure that your Samsung device is connected. Then click on AP button in Odin and select your extracted firmware file (.tar.md5 format).
Step 10: Now add the BL, CP, and CSC files in Odin by clicking on BL, CP, and CSC button respectively. Keep in mind that you select “HOME_CSC” file rather than regular CSC file in order to save your device data.
Step 11: Now click on options tab in Odin and tick the “Auto Reboot” and “F.Reset Time” options.
Step 12: Make sure you have done everything right and then click on “Start” button at the bottom in Odin to install the firmware on your Samsung device.
Step 13: Once the installation process is finished, you will see a green PASS! message in odin.

How to Troubleshoot Odin Errors!
Everything will go fine when you will install Samsung Stock Firmware with Odin on your Samsung device, but nothing can be guaranteed in this world. Something some users come across into different errors while they are trying to use odin in order to install firmware on their Samsung devices. Below are the possible fixes to troubleshoot your Odin errors.
- Odin not detecting the Device: Verify that you have installed latest Samsung USB Drivers on your PC and Kies is also disabled.
- Odin shows FAIL message: Verify that you have downloaded the right firmware file according to your Samsung device and the right Odin flash tool for your device. After making sure all of this Force shutdown your Samsung device and then start the installation guide from step 1.
- Device enters bootloop: Sometime your device enters into bootloop while using Odin. To fix this issue boot your Samsung device to stock recovery and then factory reset it. To do so press and hold “Volume Up + Home/ Bixby + Power” buttons until the No command screen appears. Then Keep holding the Power button and press Volume Up button just once. Then click on “Wipe data/factory reset” option and confirm the process.
