Google has launched Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL as the first pixel devices featuring 90hz display panels. But some users have complaint that their Pixel 4/ 4 XL device sows green tint issue at lower brightness, but few users are facing this issue even at higher brightness level. According to some high developers the problem persists due to false gamma calibration of the screen at 90Hz mode, but not all users face this issue.
Now hear the good new – users of Pixel 4/ 4 XL can now fix the green tint issue. An XDA developer has released custom kernel – CleanSlate Q1.4.12/ R2.4.10 which fixes the issue on rooted or non-rooted devices running Android 10 Q or Android 11 R. Lates CleanSlate kernel update brings Degreenify feature which making use of 60hz’s Gamma correction values for 90hz thus fixes the green tint issue. There is also a Force 60hz feature which brings the refresh-rate to 60Hz as low brightness level.
